Just Chillin'

Haven't been doing much these days. Been spending some time in the pool, but not so much this week because we've been leaving the pool cover open and the water's a little cooler than we're used to. It's a whopping 82 degrees!
But what you have to know is that when the cover is on the pool it acts as an insulator and when I open it up to swim for that day, it's like getting into a bath at 94 degrees, so it's not that refreshing on a hot day.
So we've had the pool coverless for two weeks now and the temperature of the water has dropped to 82 and now it's not refreshing, it's COLD! At least for what we've been used to. (there's just no pleasing us) First we complain it's not cold enough, then it's too cold! Wah, wah, wah!
It's only been in the upper 70 to low 80's this week with a breeze, so getting in and out of the pool has been cold for these poor poor girls! But before we know it, it'll be high 90's and so hot you'll breathe fire, so we can take a little "cold" for now. (told you we were whimps)

This summer is going down as the summer Jessi swam without floaties. She's doing really well and prefers to swim "under" water. Her idea of under is putting her face in the water and plugging her nose and swimming to one side or the other. She does well with that, but as a mom I always worry she's not getting enough air and I tell her to slow down and take a breath. She even jumps in! She does it in the shallow water near the stairs and looks so cute plugging her nose.

I'm pretty sure Ashlee learned how to swim when she was the same age as Jessi is now. Ash swims really well, and loves to be under water! Not to mention that she can escape her sister by going under water and doesn't have to hear her either! (snot) Today's warmer and we'll be in the pool soon so, splash ya later!
