Panic Attack

So yesterday was Jessi's last day of school and I spent it volunteering for Field Day. This is an event at school. 15 different areas to go have fun in, anything from water balloon tossing to raw egg tossing to water bottle rockets and much more!

(no one got hurt...badly...so let's not even go there about safety hazards...even though there were a TON and I'm stunned) The kids absolutely loved it and like I said, no one get hurt outside of scratches and bumps. (WHEW!)

Then there was the group trip to...

Nice to spend time with the usual moms and their kids for an end of the year salute.

Jessi had a friend over whom she's not had over before, until 8 p.m.. They got along beautifully! This is a sweet non-drama starting girl who can stand her ground if anything arises between friends. No need for that yesterday...might be the start of a good friendship...we'll see, the first couple of times go well, then BAM....meet the real Jessi! My daughter is a good girl, but is very strong willed and that can present problems for everyone. It has in the past. But so far so good!

Made grilled cheese for a late dinner then practically passed out at 11:30 p.m.. Jessi was out by 11:00 p.m..

Yep...that's me...out like a light!!! Dead to the living world. Didn't move an inch all night. Little dog slept in the area between my butt and knees all night, usually I put her in her cage after everyone falls asleep, not last night. TV wasn't turned off in 2 rooms.

Woke up to this...

At 6:40 a.m.!!!! I didn't wake up once to check Jessi!!!

After smacking the crap out of the alarm, I jumped out of bed and b-lined straight for her room. (surprised I didn't hurt my broken toes....don't ask)

While trying to get the meter ready I pushed her whole body....she moved...thank God!!!

193....thank you God....thank you...thank you...thank you!

She was out in the fresh air all day, doing all those activities, with the same amount of Insulin and Lantus, and I never got up in the middle of the night to check her. On any other day like that, she would've had lows through the night. Not last night. Thank The Lord!

I can't believe I didn't wake up once! Not even to turn over! I don't know weather I should be glad I got 7 hours of straight sleep.....(that's right...I said 7).....or if I should hate myself because I got 7 hours of straight sleep! Only a D mom would struggle with a sleep issue...right!?!

But I will say.....I'm feeling pretty good today. Oh, and yea....that's not gonna happen again!
