What's next????

Possible fractured growth plate on the left foot. The X-ray in that particular area wasn't 100% clear if it was the plate or a fracture. Injured by walking around the backyard patio while on the house phone and rolled her foot. Can you say 'klutz'?

Dr. says he wanted to cast her for 2 weeks to make sure it heals properly, then he'll remove it and see how she does before deciding how to go forward with it. He's pretty sure she'll be fine, but if he didn't cast it, she could be in pain for a couple of months and possibly ruin her foot. She was disappointed they didn't have colors, but with all the signatures this weekend, it looks pretty colorful!

She's getting around pretty well, uses the crutches most of the time, but occasionally goes to the bathroom from her room without them. It's a walking cast, so it's supported for it. I'm sure come school this Monday, it'll be all about the crutches!

Saturday she went to her soccer game to support her team...they we're happy she came, but she had a hard time watching them without wanting to play! And today she went to church and to the girl around the corner's house for a birthday party.

I tend to agree with the Dr. about her recovery, seeing as she's getting around quite well. Her bg was 256 when we left Urgent Care at 9pm...so I guess a little cooperation was nice on D's part. Better than trying to treat a low while attempting to stay 'very still' while casting.

I'm really thankful that it wasn't any worse than it was...so I do thank God for that, and an easy night at Urgent Care...gotta love The Lord's favor!!!

But seriously....put a fork in me... I'm done!!!!!!
