The Beach

We took the kids and nieces and nephews to Huntington State Beach the day after the 4th. It was overcast and cold! Got some good pictures, but even though it wasn't sunny.....we got burned a little. We even drove the RV down there and parked it for the day, which was nice because we had a clean bathroom and food we brought. Next time we're bringing a BBQ and wood for a bonfire at night!
This doesn't give it justice...but that hole was deep. I could reach in and be past my shoulder, and when Jessi stood in it...it was up to her bottom. It was really fun to dig too!

You can't get a hole like the one above without digging deep and for awhile! I was using my knuckles to dig around the sides....let's just say they are now sandpapered! OUCH!
The waves were very powerful and the under current was nasty. The boys had a real hard time staying in the water, they got exhausted fast.

The girls didn't expect to get wet as quickly as they did.
I don't think she expected the water to be so cold!
And this is our visit with my Aunt and Uncle. Jessi took this one, which turned out better than the one the waitress took. It was a lot of laughter and fun and was really hard to leave at the end, but what a blessing to be able to be with them, even if for a short time. And the food was pretty good too!
