Mother Daughter Event

Last Friday night, Jessi's school had a Mother Daughter event and the theme was Scrapbooking. So of course we went! It was held in the school's multi purpose room and the turn out was a very comfortable sized group. We pretty much knew everyone who was there either by name or sight from being on campus.

The chairpeople of the event had a Creative Memories consultant team there and they did their thing with helping and selling additional items and handed out the book we ordered for the night's project. We got a little 6x6 paper book, pen, adhesive, 4 way punch, and the papers and stickers for the book.

Jes pretty much took over the project doing it her own way, and Ashlee and I brought some extra stuff and did our own thing. We sat with my closest friends and Karen brought her awesome Nikon and snapped these pictures you're looking at.

The girls on each side of Jessi are her 3rd grade friends, Karen's daughter's in the yellow and Kim's is in the pink. The other little girl is a friend of Missy's first grade daughter. After finishing her book, Jes decided it was more fun to socialize than hang out with us, so she was running amuck with these girls trying to win all the prizes by crossing their fingers and asking to help hand out the raffle prizes.

Ashlee and I decided we'd rather do some of our own stuff........think we brought enough with us? The other ladies brought some stuff as well, and we were dubbed the "serious scrappers" by the moms that came over to see how we were doing

This is me and my girl friends Kim(middle) and Missy. We actually get together every Friday and scrapbook while the kids are in school. We rotate whose house we go to each week and sometimes go to lunch as well. They're good, upfront and wholesome women and I'm glad to call them my friends.

Kim's kids are the exact same age as mine with her boy being oldest, and Missy has a 1st and 3rd grader. Jessi and Kim's daughter are the same age and they get along well with Missy's 1st grade daughter. We started to hang out around the middle of last year, and those two walk each morning. They keep trying to get me to walk............exercise?........no thanks! Hey......at least they're getting me to use up all those supplies I have "collected" over the years!

In all the craziness of the evening, Karen wound up taking pictures...but never got in any of the pictures! So thank you Karen for the wonderful pictures that you gave me so I could share them!! It was a great night of scrapping, subway, desserts, and prizes!
