It's no earthquake....

Ok, what's going on over there?

Are you guys trying to up one on us?!

I mean come on! Evacuating a major league game? All over a little rain and wind?!

At least we evacuated theme parks and buildings. So there.

I tell ya, though I miss a good thunderstorm, I DO NOT miss the threat of tornados! Not one bit, no sir! I'll take a little rockin' and rollin' anyday! (only because nothing serious has ever happened to my area...yet) It does however bring up the fact that my family is not in any way prepared for an earthquake. No back up supplies or food/water storage. And the RV with the generator is at James' work (great place to be if travel is hindered).

I think that the scariest thing in both situations is that communication can be brought to a halt. Lines down and towers out would cause great dispair....that actually happened to us for 2 hours that day. Unsettling.

I hope you're all alright and that the weather has cleared up by now.

On another note.......

that reddish cat we called "Charlie Cat" that would hang out at our house (the one Lauren wanted to take home) was found laying in the grass by the neighbors to the side of us. I went to the owners house and the mom and I went to check him out, he didn't seem to be hit or attacked, we think it was probably just old age. He was at least 14 years old. Sad day around here as we grew to love him over the years, not to mention feed and spoil him with petting and loving. We'll miss his scratchy meow. RIP Charlie Cat.
