That was so cool! We were outside getting ready to swim and what a strange sound booming from the sky! Even the dogs got a little spooked. The girls were a little scared but I explained that I thought it was a sonic boom and that the space shuttle may have returned to Earth's atmosphere.
Then I went inside and turned on the TV and sure enough........the space shuttle landed at Edwards Airforce Base here in So.California. It was so neat to be outside and hear something so clear and loud!
Pretty neat I tell ya! Probably so loud because it was really close by. Maybe you heard it too? (Doesn't take much to entertain us here!) Either way, still cool.
(oh, and the girls waited to get into the pool until I came back outside......no bad mama here!)
