Able to leap over 6 foot block wall fecning in a single bound.
Able to repeat the process immediately after being led back into the yard.
Again, and again.
It's a bird.
It's a plane.
It's super leaping annnoying dog!
It's a good thing the neighbors are aware she's this good at jumping over the wall, because they're usually the ones that tell us she's out.
She got out over a year ago and disappeared for a whole weekend. We couldn't find her for nothin'. Then some wonderful lady saw her in the middle of the intersection by a school getting beeped at by all kinds of cars and she pulled over and took her to work and called me at 8 a.m. to tell me she had my dog. It was Martin Luther King Jr. holiday and not as much traffic as there should've been. She worked right down the street from us a ways and I was able to get my dog pretty quickly. We bought the kind woman a gift card to a local restuarant with enough on it to feed a family of 8.....we love our dog who made us so sick to think that she might have been gone forever. After lots of walks around the neighborhood and chaining her up out front with us when we were hanging out planting and mowing, she got used to her area. Now if she gets out and we're not home, our neighbor chains her up in our yard for us until we get home.
Even if we ARE home, that little butthead still jumps the wall and hangs out in the front yard or cruises across the street to chat with our neighbor-whom we should pay for dog sitting! And if we put her in the yard.....mind you, she has the other dog to keep her company(who is too short to jump the wall)....she's over again in no time!
She must like being locked up in the garage, because that seems to be where she's spending most of her time lately. Both dogs stay outside pretty much all the time.....it's warm here and they have Igloo dog houses to go in. We do let them in the house, but sometimes dog hair gets the best of us and out they go.
As I type this, she lays here in the area behind our couch sleeping. Hmmmm........maybe she's onto something......jump wall--get in house. And here I just thought she was a knucklehead!
