Southern California is on fire

Where we are is fine. Thank the Lord.

We're getting tons of inhalation from the smoke everywhere. The sky is a constant orange and ashes are everywhere. It's nothing but the smell of fire. For a short time this morning you could see blue sky........in patches among the smoke clouds floating around. The schools the girls go to are cancelling all outdoor activity including eating lunch outside.

It's terrible. People everywhere are losing their houses. Mostly the mountain region areas....which is basically everywhere here. There is a fire not very far from here, I don't think it will come near our area.........but we also have these horendous winds the last few days and still windy in the fire areas, which is why they can't contain much. Breaks your heart to watch the news. San Diego is the worst. All the surrounding areas on the way down there are burning. Freeways are closed down and hundreds of houses are gone. Firfighters are stretched thin and other parts of our country are in a drought and can't afford to borrow us help for fear of their own fire potential.

Prayers are needed for these people! For the helpers too!

Just wanted to let you know what was going on and that we are ok, for now, and I'm in no real danger at all, but should the fires get too close to Mom's.......well, we'll deal then.
